The Song

There are songs and then there are Songs. You have probably listened to thousands of different melodies and yet… whenever the Song starts playing, even if for a few seconds, but the world around you disappears and you become one with the music.

Flavor of life is one of the Songs for me. I heard it long before I started watching j-dramas. Even before I got to know Arashi’s music. I only clicked play on this video. Knowing nothing about the context, not having any expectations. And little did I know about how this Song was going to influence me. How it would become the first ray of the Rising Sun.

Have you ever had that one character that changed the way you see people and the way you want them to see you?

I have. And I didn’t even notice how it happened. It just did. Slowly, step by step, I realized that this is what I’m subconsciously looking for.

Selflessly loving someone not asking for anything in return. Not being afraid to show the real you, however flawed or broken you are. Sharing the happiness and tears. Just being there.

The little things that actually mean so much. Even if it’s just a story but this is the magic I want to believe in.

This is a beautiful journey. And I really want it to go on. So that the faces of different people, no matter where you are in this world, are lit by the sounds of music. So that this music brings joy or any other emotion that makes your day brighter or makes you feel better. So that these melodies reach your hearts and bring you comfort.
